I have visited one of the Gateway stores. They are about the coolest setup I have seen in a computer store. They are promoting themselves heavily inside. New internet service was easily noted. They also sell toys and shirts with cow stuff on em. I almost bought some for my sister. they may pay the bills with just the extra sales from the novelties and internet provider services. If I did not already have a favorite computer place (local clone dealer) I would have bought a gateway for sure. I like the idea of a place to go when I have a problem or question. Now, once VR hits the internet the store will no longer be necessary. But, in the mean time, I think their new strategy shows a willingness to think different. Take risk. And, in general, be entrepreneurs. I like it.

Another thought. They do a good job with the signage on the store front. Gateways cow pattern is easily recognizable. Perhaps they are going for an advertising angle also. The more you see it, the more you see it.....
