I think he is implying that there wasn't that much buying strength and volume... ie price will slide south until volume picks up... IMHO Lucky probably covered today as not to hold his short over the weekend. IMHO JeffG

Barry, To oversimplify it, my risk tolerance is more than Lucky's. If I had shorted at 1.00, I'd be long gone too. But both of us agreed that this was overbought from a much higher level. Today's limp less than 1X avg daily volume reacting to a news release overnight and a bid that moved up less than a teeny taken within the context of yesterday's highs left me feeling confident that MM's were just getting a little more short, readying the next move for themselves. Daytraders don't like loosing more than an 1/8 on trades. "covering" a short means buying back the stock you sold short. Is this what you meant yesterday by asking "taking in" the shorts?
