Altera did not come out and say anything of the sort as they are in their quiet period....The wildcard in this situation is Japan...18% of revenues...If they give any positive guidance at all and INTC's numbers and guidance are at all positive...then sentiment will improve for the group and as usual XLNX and ALTR will be the beneficiaries...Until ALTR can start beating the estimates again, a move to 50 is out of the question....Too many Money Managers predicate investing on upside earnings surprises only... Approaching the old highs is probably a year away in my opinion...Jasper
