To answer your question, I have been reviewing posts on SI for about the last 10 months without ever feeling the need to participate. It was only because of some off-the-wall allegations re: vheadline.com that I sought a corrective solution by taking out a trial subscription. Is that subscription worth $200 to me? Frankly, I haven't made any decision in the matter but I would point out that our financial resources at VHeadline/VENews are VERY limited because of the independent line that we choose to take. We have had to refuse several advertisers because of implications that they might have tried to exercise some degree of influence over editorial policy, which we will not condone or tolerate. We are also precluded for this reason from accepting Venezuelan government advertising for the very same reason, although Venezuelan newspapers as such have a very high level of dependency on advertising revenue from all levels of government and government-associated organizations. Would I personally be prepared to pay $200 for the continued privilege of posting on this forum? The answer is probably NO! This is because, unlike you shareholders, I receive no personal financial or other benefit from posting on this forum other than to correct flagrantly paranoid assertions that VHeadline/VENews is "covering its tracks" and other suchlike assertions. best regards Roy S.
