Tom,Marty,

I also find the notion of entrusting the care and nurturing of your customer to the competition while you get your act together as a spin Doctor's masterpiece. However I think the rest of the post from the yahoo thread is insightful. One thing however. The notion of APM becoming an assembly house only makes sense if demand returns (and pretty soon). I share the "Octoberish" assesment.

Best,
Stitch

My guess is that we will some more information on cost cutting at RDRT during the conference call in a few days. When I called and emailed questions about cost cutting to RDRT IR a few weeks ago Katie D. response was "no comment", then Katie left the IR dept (i got the impression that it was part of a downsizing). I did not get in touch with Jane Conn (she is corporate Treasurer and assumed Katie's duties) until after the quiet period started, however Jane did indicate that my questions on "bringing expenses is line with revenues" and about qualifications at WDC might be addressed in the conference call.
