<<For those with a conversational relationship with the CEO, you might ask him where the company is re their $/# goal, capacity goal, new application goal, and if the current demand for fiber (existing applications) from ZOLT is decreasing.>> I don't qualify for a conversational relationship but am happy to have asked Zsolt your questions: Subj: Re: Zoltek Date: 98-07-12 02:37:07 EDT From: ZsoltRumy To: Munsonia Mike, The post you forwarded to me is as wrong as can be. Our strategy was never to lower the cost to increase margins and profits, but it is to lower cost and selling price to commercialize carbon fibers. That means to increase applications! - Huge applications, not incremental increases in sales. The establishment of new applications is not an immediate process, but we were expecting to get incremental sales increases for a year or so from current established and relatively fast growing applications of electronics and sporting goods. The electronics market is suffering from a temporary setback in Asia that caused us to lose sales for the last three quarters while we are making progress in obtaining some business in sporting goods. The real story for the Company is the large applications in other markets, such as transportation, construction, marine, infrastructure, automobile, alternate energy, industrial products and friction products. We are close to a number of significant new applications and as they become reality, the picture will become more obvious to the naysayers. As for the stock price, I am very concerned only because I feel responsible to our investors and I believe the Company has much higher value than our current stock price would indicate. Somehow in the last six months investors have concentrated on the immediate and forgot the large potential ahead, which is the reason most of them bought our stock. I am sure as we announce a few of the new applications, the focus will change back to the future and the true value of our Company will be reflected in the stock price once more. I am quite happy with our progress and my enthusiasm for the future is stronger than ever. I hope you and other long-time holders will maintain your confidence in our strategy and our ability to execute it successfully. My response to you is the same as the response I give to all callers who were concerned about Zoltek. If you wish to share my letters with others, I certainly would not object. Sincerely, Zsolt Rumy ************************************************************* Time will tell whether a self-professed 10K expert knows more than the CEO of the company....I know where my money is....
