Chip Equipment orders falling approx. 30%. With Korean/Japenese/Taiwanese makers all cutting back on production of DRAM, we can see this one coming from a mile away.

I think this is good news for DRAM makers overall. I think it sets up the DRAM producers so that they can price their products better in a year or so later when demand outstrips supply and there won't be enough capacity to meet that demand. As the semiconductor analyst say, it takes DRAM makers a couple of years(2) to build out new fabs to churn out more DRAMs. Once demand exceeds supply, we are going to see Micron and the other makers get what ever price they want for their products.
