1. Is demand for mainframes currently accelerating?
2. If so how sensitive do you believe the accelerating demand is to a general economic downturn.
3. You have indicated that there are some economies of scope with
respect to mainframes, i.e. firms that use them to provide an internet server function, don't just use them for that purpose
-- many other apps are run as well. Do you think that is the model of the future? Everything I've read about internet traffic indicates that it is quite "bursty" -- I guess this would probably be so, if to a less limited extent, for the demands on servers of
information. To make the most economical use then ...
4. How much of IBM's revs come from mainframes? How much from services?
