Only the lean and mean...

Jay

I am not all that qualified to give you any advice on the matter but since you asked there is nothing wrong with taking profits. As for 'economic slowdown affecting the tech sector', I believe we are already going through a 'bit' of a slowdown as exemplified by the chip makers, disk storage manufacturers, semi equipment makers and even some software shops mainly on account of the Asian thing (not excluding Japan) and this may continue into 1999. The thing is only the lean and mean will survive and flourish in this environment and Dell as you already know is one such SOB.

PS:If you decide to sell Dell wait another few weeks before you do so as you may not want to miss the run-up into earnings. Of course this is no advice but just some random thought that came to mind on this typical Texas summer day.
