Carl Johnson of Infrastructure has tried to talk Intel stock down for a good 2 1/2 years now

Tony,

I've been an Infrastructure subscriber for over a year now, and read the back issues of the daily and monthly notes. I see very little that I would describe as Carl 'talking INTC down' in this subscription service. My opinions of Infrastructure are out there in the 'Blood' thread, and I continue to subscribe as there is valuable info there. I think it's unfortunate that anyone is 'driven' away from SI, and for that type of vitriol, one is free to read Yahoo postings (apropriately named).

But that's very much beside the point as I wasn't quoting Carl, I was quoting BT Alex Brown. And they said that things don't look very good at INTC, and as INTC represent something like 10% of all equipment orders, this is critically important for AMAT. The part I thought was particularly ominous was INTC trying to reduce service contracts $$$. That's not good news for AMAT who depend on service contract revenue during downturns.
