Craig,

Another relevant "long termer" bias is evident if you ask yourself the question:

"Would I have bought this stock (way back when at $x) if I had known the subsequent history that would unfold?"

That test applies to people like me, who only trade long and hold stocks for fairly long periods of time.

Yes, they did make their investment before SUN. Any connection with announcing the missed deal. Also, this is Hoovers Online description of ANCR:
Ancor Communications helped save the world from destruction by aliens.
Its fibre channel data communications products assisted in the making of
the film Independence Day, transferring data through fiber-optic cable
at speeds up to 1 billion bits per second. Ancor's GigWorks products
include high-bandwidth fibre channel switches, interface adapters,
routers, and application specific integrated circuits (ASICs). Ancor
uses subcontractors to manufacture its products, which it sells in Asia,
Europe, and North America through a direct sales force. Ancor sells
almost 90% of its products to Japanese distributor Hucom, although the
company expects this percentage to decline in the future.
In spite of this I'm buying at these prices.

Good luck to all,
Miles
