"I think AMAT has a market cap of somewhere around $12B."

Amat's cap was 10.6 billion at the end of New York's day.

Amat's going for 9.5 billion right now, after hours.

22 bucks is almost exactly 8 billion.

BB,

Re: I think AMAT has a market cap of somewhere around $12B.

AMAT does CURRENTLY have a market cap just shy of $11B, ... er at least based on Friday's close it did. However, my comments about a $4B AMAT market cap were if it drops to the $12/share in the worst case scenario offered by fellow AMAT SI'ers. Sounds kinda ridiculous, aye? Then again, no more than Yahoo with a market cap north of $8B!
