Curious, isn't it, the way the MMs "allowed" or ushered up the price at the end of the day... almost as if they knew to let buyers have their way, just this one time. I will remember that the next time prices rise during the day earnings are to be given after the close, for example. Perhaps a negative indicator if you like conspiracy theories and X-files.

My 27.5 puts were due to expire worthless in a week, got lucky on the timing here BIG time. Almost doubled up early in the week, but ideas like "macro base" and bad news already well factored in kept me in check. Appears that macro base may be its undoing early Monday. It's ironic I often hope for a down nasdaq to ensue from other techs reporting neg. news assuming that will pull AMAT down as part of the group. Now, AMAT may lead techs down in Mon. trading.
