Jim, let me just say that I sincerely apologize for what Christines family did to your family. :-)

40 acres isn't enough for the suffering this country has put you through. Make it a thousand! And a cup of Starbucks Latte'. Do you take that wet or dry? ;-)

Michael

Jim, I am terribly sorry for what the early Americans did to your greatgreatgrandmother. Yosemite was not populated by the Iroquois, but if you would like to go live on a reservation somewhere, certainly I would love to pay more taxes so that you could be rehabilitated and made a healthy and productive member of society. As you must know, the Indians do not believe in private ownership of land, so I don't think we need to divide everything up into forty acre plots. Does that make you one-sixteenth Indian? Is that enough for the U.S. government to consider you one, or is it one-eighth or one-quarter that they count?

I am very, very sorry for what happened to your greatgreatgrandmother. It all makes me ashamed to be an American, and I mean that sincerely. What else can I do to make it better for you?
