It struck me as a simple question, with no need to take it to Jack. I thought we had people here with some knowledge of gas, oil and coal properties.

If I were buying such a property I'd want answers, not estimates. I guess it's just me.

Tod,

I agree with your opinion here. MTEI is acting as quickly as is prudent in regard to acquisitions, etc.

Certainly the management team has a very good idea about the available reserves contained on these properties and have simply used the USGS information to help them narrow down their areas of interest. Once that list was shortened, they contracted with Stagg in WV to perform a extensive and conclusive analysis of the properties. These analyses are naturally very time-consuming, although we may see the first of the Stagg reports in the near future.

Waiting to purchase or acquire these properties until the Stagg reports are finished would likely mean paying much more for them simply because the market price for fossil fuels cannot stay depressed indefinitely. Mountain Energy is taking full advantage of the opportunity to acquire properties on the cheap and when energy prices begin to move upward again, the Mountain Energy investments will be maximized.

This type of business activity could only be successfully carried out by a management team with savvy and experience. That's what we are banking on, isn't it?
