Wow! I think this is a good move.

Don't forget. 3Com is a manufacturing company. It
makes profits by cutting costs better than others do.
AND, it makes profits by mass producing.

So, this will make their products usable by many
more customers, lots of who can't afford CSCO, or
want to get away from them. 3Com channel are being
trained very well to help customers also. Sooner
or later, the word will be out...CSCO customers, no
matter who they are will be able to (and HAVE to) cut
costs in their network enterprise system.

WOW, that's a hell of a deal, trade in and get a
15% rebate. I'm in a gov't location, so they
take a long time to upgrade, but we still have 100BaseT.

I could trade it in for 1000 speed myself, if I
was in a private industry. 3Com distributers will
come in and put the whole thing in for much cheaper
than CSCO personnel.

KEEP BRINGING this dog those cakes and cookies!!

hitesh,

This isn't that expensive a plan. Do you know how few people actually do this?.. the reason is simple you have to send the old products back which is a pain in the ass.. this is a publicity thing and nothing else.
