There are as many valuation models are there are people who use them. For most I them, I think the same way about them as I do about technical analysis, orange smoke and black magic. I'm a fundamentals guy for the most part. Buy and hold, very long term. On the very few speculative issues I've bought, I either have large paper losses or dead money. But on the big name guys I've researched, I've done very well. So far the big ones have more than offset the losers, but if even one of those losers comes through, I'll be looking pretty good. Damned if that last sentence doesn't sound like hype.

So if one guy wants to use TA and another guy uses valuation models, it really doesn't bother me. I would hope it doesn't bother Mr. Forthright as well.
