Hello DT, in regards to your HZN inquiry, You make an excellent point. Why do we get involved in these start-up companies? I have a hypothesis: 1)PERSONAL CONTACT-Start-up companies have very little exposure. Thus the people who support these ventures often have personal contact with the founders. The founders (depending upon their credibility) can often find enough support from his own personal circles. 2) UPSIDE- When an investor takes a position in any start-up company, he is buying in at low prices. Should the company perform to expectation, the investor is rewarded. Obviously this is a simple risk to reward trade-off. Often, the investor can end up losing his investment due to the low success rates that these young companies have. The shampoo commercial in which "she told two friends and she told two friends..." holds true for the dissemination of speculative investment information. Often word spreads from friend to friend to relative to acquaintance.... Thus the pool of investors gradually grows. If the growth of the company warrants continued support, the support will always be there. This is the case for HZN. I was introduced to Doug Walker, and sold on the deal over one year ago. I have found Doug to be an honest man who has always given me facts, not hype. Doug almost seems to be on the conservative side when I discuss Horizon with him. The growth of this company has definitely warranted support from myself, my family and my friends. Obviously one never wants to promote a "dog" to his friends. Of course, DT, you do not know me from Adam, and my opinion is merely my opinion. I would strongly urge you to do some DD on HZN, and form your own opinion.(Quickly though, because this "major" is already over-due). I would also appreciate your input and opinions regarding HZN.
