BB, Good to give credit to the author
(we don't want to start calling you plagiarist);
it was clear you were quoting,
but I liked the way they were woven
into an Investment Tale.

Sitting here wondering if I should
take passage again on the good ship AMAT.

Hmmm....

I'm a big Melville fan as well. I thought you're first phrase, though, was actually Samuel Taylor Coleridge from the poem "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner" which has lots of good ship talk:

Water, water everywhere,
And all the boards did shrink;
Water, water everywhere,
Nor any drop to drink.
