Scumbria, Intel also offers profit sharing, bonuses, and options which have historically made many rich. Have you looked at both Intel's and AMD's 10-15 year charts? AMD is flat over 10 years. Who is getting rich besides Jerry? Options granted 10 years ago are worthless, except Jerrys, his were repriced at a lower exercise price.
How do you factor in job satisfaction? Almost every thing Intel does is a winner and almost everything AMD does is a loser. Does this make for a satisfying career?
