Why? So far you are wrong and you have failed in every effort to hype this stock. As soon Viagra gets approved abroad, VVUS will trade between 2-3.PFE is nothing else but another MSFT. Smashed the competition.

You saps are still here? Hoping for 40 or 80?

VVUS sure looks like it's going down the toilet with the pathetic U.S. sales from Q2. Short it now, while it's still above 5.

<<I will wager you whatever you can afford that Vivus will never trade below 5 let alone at 1. I will also bet you that it will not make a new 52 week low. Name your amount>>

Wow! "not make a new 52-week low"? "never trade below 5"? Ever? That's quite a hope. Unfortunately, a bet that extends forever can not be a legally binding contract.

How about the following? I am willing to wager $50 K that VVUS trades below $5 between now and July 10, 1999--that is, an intraday low below $5 as reported by whatever information source we can agree on, and adjusted for any splits.

However. There could be legal problems with this bet. State laws governing betting vary widely. The only state in which I know for sure that it could be done legally is Nevada.

We would need to draw up a written contract, for review by our attorneys, and each of us would deposit the $50 K with an escrow company that agrees to handle the bet. The $100 K could be invested in an FDIC-insured money market account. Winner Takes All.

Any takers?
