Thanks but no thanks - I was in the HW business about 15 years ago. 2 words - 'never again'.

But I had 2 other bids for about the same config were $275 and $299. I also could buy the MB with CPU for $78, the RAM for $55 from these same guys. I assume they are picking up fire sale components falling out of the various big mfgs in the area (houston and austin). BTW the components may also not be new - a lot of surplus around here comes out of return and spares inventory from CPQ. We are talking gray market here.

I was pretty surprised by the prices but the spread said there are at least a few putting this config out at under $300.

Also - these are folks who make maybe 5 of these a week so no chance to buy in volume...
