Well, after reading a bunch of optimistic posts from all you longs I feel a bit better now. I'm one of those lucky few people that bought in at 24. @#%^*^%!!! So any ideas about what the timeframe is going to be before Zap rallies again?

<<Since it appears that this was your first and only post on SI, I would simply like to know why you feel that ZAP is a good investment.

I have my reasons, but am always looking for other opinions.>>

In a word---diversity. One of the soundest pieces of advice for investing is to diversify your holdings. So why wouldn't this also be sound advice for a company. Here we have a company that is selling marine life products as well as some other things not internet related and using some of the money to enter a completely different field.

By the way how many companies stride to be debt free? From what I see Zapata can claim this. Not to mention that their last quarter's EPS are double that of Yahoo's and this is before the internet ball even starts rolling. One poster asked how they can possibly make money. This befuddles me considering that there are a myriad of subscription sites offered, Bibliofind sells books and not to mention there insn't a site that doesn't have some form of advertising on it. Those advertisements aren't offered for free.

I think I will give the company a call. I would love to know if they have any plans for radio and television advertising in the future. If there is a yes to that then I think the future bodes well if they can do it without killing their bottom line.

I don't agree at all with those that say the CEO is trying to sell a bill of goods that not even he believes in. That is silly. They are going to spend a few million dollars and acquire twenty or thirty websites because they don't think it will produce and they are going to lay the reputation and profitability of their company on the line as a result. Whatever you call it I find this supposition bordering on the ridiculous. I don't know what some have against this company but their logic defies reason IMHO.
