Yes, I think so too. I think good news will be worth 10-15% regardless of starting point. So if the starting point is 22 then the news will never be able to carry LSI over 25. It will use all its amunition just getting to 25. If, however, it can start at 24, then 25 can be broken and higher levels will be attainable.

I still believe LSI's message will be a good one this Q. If its not, just wait till you see the things I write about LSI. If you think I have been hard on management to this point, you ain't seen nothin' yet. But, I hope it doesn't come to that.

There must be something special going on with LSI. For all the knocks analyst take, and especially Merrill's analyst, give the devil his due. Kurlac has been right on with the Semis. Look at this quote from Amat's press release. "their near term effect on the semi equipment industry will be more severe than previously anticipated".

So you might not like Kurlac, but he has been right much more than he has been wrong. Which makes his upgrade of LSI even sweeter.
