That is very encouraging news! Thanks for the input. I assume that you are stll "close" to the situation.

Although Alpha will improve over time, so will the XEON. Intel has released the 400 MHz, 1 Meg L2 cache devices but the 450 Mhz and 2 Meg L2 caches are still a few weeks away from introduction.

So, there's still more UPSIDE in the near term for Xeon.

I just hope there's a lot of customers for Compaq's Xeon Servers.
