refering to the anonymous posts, i purposely joined SI because i am accountable for what i say. if someone who posts rational and normal info, and can be traced, through various threads, thenhis advice or insight in an industry or stock may be valid. Also, if he bombs the snot out of your email box, Si can tell you who he is faster than an isp, or doing a few involved keystrokes. I must say it is the vileness of the yahoo threads that cause this stuff to happen, because everyone thinks they are free to do and say what they will, and NOT pay the consequences. I am an advocate of free speech, short selling, value investing and many other numerous types of trading, i also am for free speech among adults, where language us blue collar folk.. (i am a no-collar guy) use daily is acceptable in normal conversation. I have been web-jailed here once, and to be honest with you, i was not all that upset. I believe that what caused me to blurt out an angry post was cause for the other guy to go to jail with me. The truth is, i would have strangled him in person if i met him. So the truth puts me in web jail, so be it. On the accountability side, he can get my phone number and fax number if he looks around. I am a public guy. And if we met and he won the fight.( there really are no winners) then my accountability would be proven. As well as my credibility if i was victor.
