Gee Ken, a tad touchy? Your numbers are interesting, but they don't fully reflect reality:

<<I'd be willing to bet ANYONE here that a purchaser of a ZIP drive buys 90% of all the disks he's EVER going to use within 1 month of the purchase of the drive.>>

Well because neither of us can publicy prove this, I'll bet your numbers are inaccurate. I'd bet that a typical zip owner buys 3 disks at the time of purchase, 6 more within 9 months, and 5 more after 1 1/2 years of ownership to get to about 14:1 after 18 months of ownership.

>>This is NOT AT ALL true. Tie ratio is really a function of the 'type' of user. You need to catagorize the users as follows:

EARLY ADOPTERS = dozen disks, then stop
TECH HEADS = dozen disks, then stop
BUSINESS = more resembles the razor blade
AFTER MARKET = 6 disks, then stop
OEM 'JOE SIX PACK' = 1 disk, then stop.<<

You forgot vertical niche users (service bureaus, ad agencies, design firms, architects, real estate for a few) that consume mass quantities. I'd love for you to take the time and put those numbers against the total universe for each segment, based on a number of 35 million (US-SO/HO) initial back in '95.

"It would scare the living daylights out of you if I posted the results of my model here...""

I think we're all big kids here, go ahead we can handle it.

<<My model may not be perfect, and has some guesses/assumptions, but it sure hasn't failed me yet. Remember, EVERY SINGLE ANALYST was wrong on this stock. Only Herb, Rock, and I have been correct. And you lambast all of us..>>

Well right is kind of relative, I remember times that you called for the demise of this stock, only to see it rise in patterns that allowed for some nice trading.

Analysts are a dime a dozen, and I can't believe you say "Only you have been correct". I'm sure, like myself, there are a number of us who have taken substantial profits out of this stock. And I'm sure you have too on both sides.

Anyway take care, off to Yellowstone. Hope life is treating you well.
