Hi stock talk,

Let's hope they don't sell Manhattan for $17 and some beads. Having a firm grasp on the short hairs of the folks at INTC is not something to give up lightly. Personally, I don't think the i740 and all the old CHPS patents would be worth what those Exponential patents could mean to S3 a year from now. INTC is too tricky to play with. The stories of i740 dumping would make sense if INTC is out to put pressure on S3 in the way of extortion. I'd be more in favor of S3 telling Intel to go enjoy intimate relations without benefit of a partner.

Regards,

Don

Frankie,

Now you have me excited. I DO know you and you DON'T post B.S. in spite of a marked pleasing proclivity for said fertilizer in other areas. <G> You are (IMHO) the erudite voice of S3 with a Bruce Williams flare.

Now I need to ask you an important qualifying question here. In the past your "rumors" have been damn near bankable aside from what arose from the "blindsided-who knew?" Gary-pound it up your crumpet-Johnson disaster. That one would have surprised Moses, Gandhi, Buddah and Rush Limbaugh. (For those of you over 40, has anyone ever noticed that Rush looks exactly like Kate Smith in drag?)

That being said, would you qualify this new news as a rumor...or a little better? (You Irish rover you..)

Onward,
George

DIMD is rather intriguing as an investment. The market cap is 1/3 of projected sales based on first 6 months of 98. The big revenue gains and income losses came during the "slow" quarters; I would expect revenues to stay strong and margins to rise in the back-to-school and Xmas quarters. They are nearly at book value and have $3/share in cash. The other thing I like is they have a small float of 22 million shares. I would venture to say that it is at least as good an investment at this time as S3.

Frank:

<<I can't keep it to my self any longer,>>

Yes you can. Just lay down, count backwards from 100 slowly and think about little cuddly creatures that are fun to hug.

Happy investing,
Ken
