Aki,

I agree completely with your "Point One". About point two, he may go (that word again) and you're completely right that he didn't see enough, or if he saw, he refused to believe his own eyes... bad move.

Most of all, I dislike the "sugar-coating" (more than I can say... is truly disgusting to me). Do they think this is not real money? If things suck, and they have absolutely no visibility, tell us that. I wanta know.

If the brokerages downgrade before the open on Monday, they get to show it on their books as having gotten people out at Friday's closing price of 29-1/2 (my understanding, anyway). I figure we'll see some of that... if it was my call, we'd see a lot of that, but it's not, so we are left with figuring what these guys will do. I'm glad that much of this thread isn't holding a ton of AMAT.

Bottom line, it's looking like history repeats itself again.... and there's no blood in AMAT's shares yet, in my view. One tip-off that this was true is all the love-ins with the brokerage firms who put it on the "Best Loved Lists". It's pretty safe to say, the best-loved ones aren't bloody.

Right now, I don't have any plans to buy on Monday (barring sub-20). I think this thing needs some time to let itself play out.

btw, u do good work, my friend... Teri

<<MileHigh BB, Teri, DD and myself were predicting this before jtechkid was born (on SI).... FYI.>>

But jtechkid has made the money while most everyone else has been doing nothing other than complaining these last several months....and that's all that really counts, isn't it?

Robbie

I don't think Morgan has lost it. NO ONE and I mean NO ONE predicted how bad Asia has become. Just 12-15 months ago every one seemed to saying Asia was still a place to invest (IMHO it still is, but you won't reap rewards for a few years)

BTW, when I mean no one and everyone I'm talking about financial mags and tv (Money, Worth, WSJ, CNBC, MF mag, etc.)
