I just answered a private message from another person looking for info on the gap theory and other technicals. I thought some here might like to gather info on this and decided to post a copy...

Glad to see somebody getting into technicals...it's a great way to backup a gut feeling. When a stock looks good and rumors are flying...check the technicals. If the technicals are showing what you are hearing or feeling then it's worth the chance. If not, then it's best to look for a new stock. There's to many out there to gamble money away on a long shot.

The gap theory is just that...a theory. I don't know of anybody in the world that can prove or disprove it. But I have lost every time I played long against the gap. Now I know to be very careful on a gapped stock because it's most likely going back eventually.

I just found this site for you to take a look at...

ianr.unl.edu

Here's another good site for beginners...

e-analytics.com

Also, if you don't already have it...get ITrader and use the charts and technicals. It's a wealth of good info! Best free software on the market. Delayed data is free and realtime is available for about $40 a month with exchange fees.

Go here to get the software and signup for free data...

kanisa.com

The realtime provider can be found at naq.com

Be sure and let me know if you find some other good sites in your search I'm always looking for new technical information and insight.

Cheers!

Mike Sawyer

Are you saying perhaps the stock was "intentionally" brought down to fill the gap. That's an interesting idea.

I like your ideas of what might happen next week :))

Hope your right........
