Agree with everything you said, re: definition of amzn as a portal.
BTW, nice little debate or two raging over on TMF (where you get more intelligent exchanges at times, just because there are so many bulls who go to the same watering hole hanging out), and as one post noted, the number 5 most popular book on amzn was a programing book which should give you an idea of the demographic make up of the book reading market it so proudly boasts of dominating. Ok, amzn can control the entire silicon valley book reading public where its brand name recognition (we'll assume) surpasses that of bks or bgp for the crowd stuck in their cubicles. BKS and BGP and their name brand with the rest of the book buying public v. AMZN (no contest).

Anyway check out TMF. Any bullish or bearish thoughts on the barrons stuff?
