Compaq ownership. They can't own much as the proxy does not disclose them as having an interest.

I've heard this takeover talk for some time and the fact of the matter is it is not going to happen.

How can Compaq expect Intel to work with them if they are a competitor?

If Korea did not have their problems, it might have happened, but unfortunately AMD is on their own for several years.

With the tank in technology profits, I'm not even sure someone would buy them at book to obtain their employees.

I really thought it made sense for IBM to make a large equity investment recently, but given that did the convertible issue, I think AMD is on its own.
