Alas, Da Brink is off this weekend. Substitute is the " Die Broke" author.

Just my luck, I'm available , no ball game but no Brinker....

With people living so long, retirement is a non-event says the author.. He can't contemplate retiring..... especially at 65.

Re: Erstwhile King of France

One day the governor of Kyoto came to call upon Keichu. He handed the attendant a card that said, "Kitagaki, Governor of Kyoto". Upon receiving the card Keichu told the the attendant that he had no interest in seeing such a person. When the attendant brought the card with apologies, Kitagaki said, "That was my mistake," and scratched out the words, "Governor of Kyoto."

"Ah," said Keichu, when he saw the card again. "I want to see Kitagaki."
