My thoughts...

One, I sold at this level (taking a big loss). I have not regretted it. Actually, when it traded back up to $9, I thought about shorting (which I didn't).

Two, there is too many clouds to the picture. Once this was a company with clear earnings and nice projections from analysts. Now??? There are losses, unclear financing plans, and analysts running.

Three, what I would do is take the loss and shop elsewhere. You could always keep track of CPTL for a future purchase (for tax reasons, a loss is realized after 30 days of making no purchases of the same stock). I keep track of everything I sell, like CPTL, to continuously monitor whether I made the right decision. Of course, you could read the Yahoo! Message Thread for CPTL for more opinions.

Four, don't be too hard on your father-in-law. I sure he wants the best for his daughter.
