Hi AL. From Preston's previous posts, it
looks like RS needs to be in a column of X's. RS buy vs sell seems to
be neutral. I'm sure the "RS in a column of O's" was a typo.
BTW, I'm following your lead in looking for sector mutual funds to
play the sectors as they reverse up. My choices are limited to those
my on-line broker provides. Keep an eye BZF. It is a closed end Latin
America mutual fund that looks like it could give a "bearish signal
reversed" when the Latin America sector reverses up. Thanks for the
tip on PRSCX. I bought it as soon as the computer & Semi sector turned
up. Check out the top twenty holdings for WPHSX. This looks like it
would be a great fund to hold when the drugs sector turns up.
If the gold sector ever turns up, it may be tough to find a good gold
mutual fund. Many of them are starting to diversify into other metals including aluminum. Lexington gold has been without a manager for
three months.

Have a good weekend. duke60

Hi Al, Yes RS must be in X's...Duke caught the the typo, sorry about that...looking at TOO MANY X's and O's

And yes, it makes very little difference as to whether RS is on a buy or sell signal, but in X's is important..

I just finish the 1997 data and a big difference there was that the majority of the stocks were in RS X's at the time of purchase...

I'll enter the data in the morning and then post that using the same criteria..

Later
