Dave, I think that low short interest is good because it says even the high risk players won't take the bait on that side of the equation with the stock price at these levels. The semi sector is only dead for a moment in time. All this will change.....

Not surprised that short interest is low. I think IDTI is "dead money" until they prove they are on the ball but don't think they would make even a fair short candidate. Maybe their is 30% chance the stock could move down another 25% over the next six months, at which point it would be at a point that it would go down no further. The chance that it stays within a 20% trading range to the upside is maybe another 30%. The remaining 45% is that they show that they are on tract and the market believes their plan is viable in the face of increased competition from Intel, AMD and NSM and continued market softness. My opinion of the odds might change quite a bit if we hear some encouraging words that hold water.
