'Using a 3rd party to analyse our Y2K inventory

asked in the Electric Utilities and Y2K Q&A Forum

I work at a large gold and copper mine in Indonesia. We have recently completed a Y2k inventory of all the
software and hardware used in operations.

To save time we are considering using a 3rd party to analyse out Y2k inventory and advise on the
compliance status of the listed items.

Can anyone recommend a company that specialises in carrying out this work for large companies that rely
on the use of automated equipment for production.

Other people are providing similar information and tools to TAVA's, albeit not as comprehensive or "compiled". Almost all major automation vendors provide a Y2K compliance list for their hardware and software products. In fact, Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation, which is over 50% of the North American market, provides a *free* tool for scanning PLC code for compliance issues that anyone can use (doesn't require a "consultant").
