Bill: As I stated on the AMAT thread, there are no true bears over there-- just closet bulls waiting to buy at a lower price. They don't understand that the biggest problem to their scenario is that there are too many of them and others waiting to buy. This was the biggest advertised pre-announce in recent times and I can rattle off several institutions that will probably be buying on Monday. Morgan did not pre-announce with SEMICON West in mind for nothing. Hell, CNBC will be covering SEMICON West all week. CEOs from NVLS, UTEK, CYMI, and KLAC will all be on next week. You heard it here first. Pre-announce and then put your best foot forward is AMAT's strategy. With that said, AMAT's guidance going forward is the real problem for the intermediate term. Read the press release. Also, INTC to announce earnings next week on Tuesday I believe. With respect to your second paragraph, all I will say is that you are somewhat off with respect to your comments on AMAT. But I will not comment any further for fear of being bookmarked and bashed at a later date. I don't need that crap in my life from the mentally challenged. People are free to criticize or comment on Brinker here if they so choose. But, good grief, give him the benefit of the doubt at least. Just get the damn facts right at least or qualify your statements appropriately if you are unsure. Otherwise, you just look like another pot shot artist on a slash and burn mission.
