Off topic: I got a good chuckle out of this. Levity concerning the Japanese banking scene courtesy the "Semi-Equips- Blood" thread.

shane,

I think you got the wrong impression. Mr. Lau and I talked for 10-15 minutes and, as in the prior talk with him, he was open and informative. He did not feel that he could tell me certain things like he did before as it could be considered giving me inside information. As you'll recall, he told me about the Toshiba machines in my prior call. Shortly after that they came out with the PR about them. In other words, he gave me info on the company before the public.

Summarizing what he had to say would be:
"we can continue to profit and pay dividends, but investors cannot expect the company to continue to grow as we have in the past".

This is an honest statement and one I had expected. It's ridiculous to think they could continue compounding growth at 48% with everything that's happening in the World economies.

JMHO,
Ron
