etrade always give me generic answers by way of email. but the phone
service seems to be a lot better for problems, maybe because its
more personable. so ikeep hoping for better service for us who have been with them a long time(fall 96). the softbank buy seems to be a
strong push for it to become a better company and maybe its time to buy into the company.

On second thought, it is interesting that Softbank bought in before earnings are announced.

Anyone has any ideas on the E*TRADE $50 promotion in June. Apparently, the promotion was offered to only a select group of customers, and those customers don't seem to be infrequent traders as expected. BTW, I spent over $1,500 on E*TRADE commission for the June quarter; if the June earnings look good, I want to claim the responsibility. :-)
