Considering the state of the industry, and maybe I'm being too pessimistic, but if LSI can meet their expectations I think it will be a beautiful miracle. As an investor, given current market conditions, I would be very pleased if LSI could earn .25 cents a quarter for the next couple of quarters. Between digesting the merger and the squeeze the Semi industry is in I would consider holding steady a victory. I hope someone can elaborate, but are LSI's products and margins being hit as much as other Semi companies. While everyone else is getting nail, for LSI to thread water from here would leave them in a very good position when the Semi world turns around.

However it doesn't look like it will happen soon though, between Japan's elections and a story out that Korea is on the verge of bankruptcy It appears we will be in this rut a while.

To meet estimates this fall, either revenues are going to have to really move up, or R&D will have to be slashed. I believe someone else mentioned it, but I'm wondering how bad it will hurt LSI's stock to say they can't meet estimates for this fall.

How about this scenario to push LSI up: elections in Japan results in almost immediate change in directions of perceptions of the Japanese Yen and economy. LSI benefits!
