I don't normally respond on this thread, but your post requires a reply. AMAT, like Ford, is a cyclical stock and has to be TRADED. You don't make good money on any cyclical stock by buying it and holding it for 20 years. Instead you attempt to sell near the top and then buy again once the stock has bottomed out and begun a new cycle.
