Michael, do you actually read the articles I show you before you reply? The one you are complaining about discussed the FACTS that Americans pollute the earth far in excess of their percentage of the population, that other industrialized nations offer their citizens standards of living that are as good or better than ours without polluting the environment as much, that the way we use fossil fuels is vulgarly excessive, and that taxing them more severely would be in line with other societies grappling with this problem.

I guess that since you couldn't dispute the factual parts of the article--the implications of which imply that we really are ugly Americans in terms of our impact on life on earth--you started talking about Romanian products and speaking Russian. That makes no sense at all, Michael. It strikes a political chord in the right wing, maybe, and causes a few people to jump up and wave their American flags, but it is totally illogical. All the countries cited in the article were democracies like Germany and Japan. I guess because you couldn't say anything logical, you played the patriotism card. I think it would be a lot more interesting discussion without doing stuff like that.

America has no inherent right to rule, and ruin, the rest of the earth, does it? Maybe you think it does, from what you wrote.
