Great! Think you found the ideal [and perhaps only] way to subvert that qp2 parse-time error.

As an aside, one shouldn't expect quick fixes for bugs of this sort -- patches tend to beget errors elsewhere.

IMO it is better to, like good compiler vendors, provide up-to-date lists of all reported bugs and known workarounds in the current build.
