My feeling is that the main detractors are Zapata's competition and living in Silicon Valley I can assure you that internet company officials are paid to be arrogant and pretentious. Regardless of what they wish to believe the fact is that Zapata has the resources and the cash to give them a run for the money. Whether they have the proper business model and acumen remains to be seen but as the Barron's article suggests it pretty apparent that they aren't going away. I was surprised to see that only one day after the CoolChat announcement you can find the CoolChat link on the Zap portal.
