rudedog, Thanks for that explanation. The expansion of virtual address space to terrabytes of directly addressable memory will create the opportunity for whole new classes of computing. Is it true that the failure to understand this is the reason why there exists such a lack of comprehension of what will be possible with such capabilities? Which leads me to ask you - What new opportunities will most likely be addressed by "whole new classes of computing"? What capabilities do you see enabled by "expansion of virtual address space to terrabytes of directly addressable memory"? Barry
