Asian politics aside.......

In 1950 Brazil won the world cup, and the DJIA rallied 24 %
In 1958 Brazil won,.......................and the DJIA rallied 40 %
In 1962 Brazil won, the market tanked 29% then rallied 25 %
In 1970 Brazil won, ......................and the DJIA rallied 20 %
In 1994 Brazil won, the market was.......................FLAT.

I'd have to conclude that Brazil's ability to influence the
market is waning.

Interesting numbers. I remember Tek discussed market cap vs GDP
numbers some time ago, and Japan-89 was 130%. So are we already
higher? -Vi
