Larry,

MU is only new to the MAx-Pain study I'm conducting, so I don't have data to back-test on it. But I do have a selection of other tech stock in the study, with historic charts you can view. You can find them at the options analysis web page at my site. Max-Pain is a second order effect, ie events that cause price momentum moves eg news releases, up/downgrades, Greenspan, etc. will swamp out the 'natural gravity' of the Max-Pain point. It is looking like the 'quarterly reporting' months may be too volatile for MAx-Pain to be an 'indicator'... but that's why I'm studying the effect...

MU may get 'downed' by a sector move this week, and some timely comment from Tom Kurlack.... he seems to make statements during options expiration week....
