Of course you're not. Neither am I. Neither are any of us. I believe that is the charm of SI. I'm still curious as to what you think. Gut instincts, voodoo, tea leaves, etc ... are all generally accepted forecasting methods on this thread.

GM: I voted what I thought AMAT would CLOSE at (23 I can dream can't I?)but it may not be clear to those voting (myself included) whether you're lQQking for us to pick the intraday low price or the final closing price for the day. May make more sense to just pick the close since certain intraday low prices while "hit" would be, for all intents and purposes, impossible to have traded at by the lowly individual investor. Since it's your poll (very colorful at that!) you specify.

On diff. subject, I did state my position in puts before what will be referred to in the history books as "The Great Halt," and a few others did state their positions. Here's post on July 10th (in relevant part below). Just responding to idea from another poster that no one states their position or has done as well as jtechkid (who I think is very perceptive here).

I'm your huckleberry. Not so much by choice <gulp> (who saw that tech rally coming?) and I find myself on top of a sack-o-puts.

Ironically, jtechkid talked me off the ledge, as it were, with all his neg. comments in the face of a rising price. This time I had to part ways. Volatility is my ally. Also, bad news is factored in, but don't forget about all the momentum players (who seem to literally move this market with impunity) who don't have to guess at bad news, they will dump AMAT short term very hard if rumor becomes reality. And we all know a rumor is just a delayed fact.
