fuzman, The sheep are not always correct. There is a frenzy in this sales/auction business now to find the proper format. The auction format is getting tired already and the crowd is growing. ANybody and his dog can start an online action and digicash will be your financial funder for a small fee.(VISA/MC/AMEX?DC?). Any search angine can find a few hundred auction sites and word of mouth is better than seraching through 3000 hits. SMarter search engines might help this.

As an experienced retailer and surplus dealer and do have some feel for this stuff. Expensive advertising via banner fees when there are AOL banner strippers already available for free can be wasted. Exchanges are better as they are free. I think word of mouth via the friends who e-mail each other will prove to be the most cost effective method(free) The only thing you must be is good enough to get spread WOM. It works for movies.

I hear that a lot of the up front shares are still held. Their bag was to wait until NASDAQ for the bigger kill. I suspect most selling came from weenie SH who saw amazon and others going sky high and just changed ships. I expect they will be able to lure some back now with the better numbers and they could do better.

A lot remains to be seen with ILI. Whether or not they can adapt their format to be at the front is unknown. Can they develop their buying so they get better stuff to sell? Can they become exclusive resellers for
many makers? Exclusive surplus liquidators for certain makers?

Work to do.
